Background The tank was built according to patent Des. 102,351; Design for a Tank Truck; Dec. 15, 1936; Leland Bessonett et al, assignors to Standard Oil of California. The truck cab was built according to patent Des. 103,821; Design for a Tank Vehicle; Mar. 30, 1937; Ralph Kuss, assignor to Farrell Manufacturing Company. Old photographs of the truck were used as well. Brian Austin is acknowledged for providing valuable reference material for the project. |
